about

I firmly believe that what we do for a living should be built around the talents and interests that come naturally to us.  Growing up I enjoyed creating art, figuring out how to build things without looking at the instructions, and always thinking outside of the box. After graduating from the Art Institute of Seattle, I worked for several large civil engineering firms because my graduation portfolio represented the type of work that these firms were looking for- clean design that wasn't complex but communicated the message clearly.

After working with several prestigious engineering firms like HDR Engineering, Kimley-Horn and Associates, and CH2MHill, I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge in the business of design which honed my skills and has ulitmately allowed me to deliver better end-products to my customers.

Today, I'm fluent in Adobe CS5.5 creative software, producing streamlined processes, self teaching the art of photography, and spending the majority of my days building multi-page documents with InDesign and creating websites with Adobe Muse. FYI, I don't know HTML or CSS coding because Muse does it all for me- I'm a true graphic designer.

After many years working for HNTB, one the nations top engineering firms, I decided to live my dream as a freelance graphic designer. Through my experience at HNTB, I've become an experienced designer that is multi-faceted in graphic design, design processes and strategic marketing approaches that best suits your needs.

My promise to my customers is providing the highest quality work, deliver on time, under budget, and to the client's satisfaction.

software & applications

I love what I do, and I enjoy  the continuous learning required in this field.  With new software & technologies emerging on what seems like a daily basis, I find it exhilarating (and occasionally exhausting) to stay on the bleeding edge. I'm constantly being that 'sponge' absorbing the latest technologies or streamlined process in order to be ahead of everyone in my industry.

I’m comfortable and confident working with the following software & technology:

Adobe CS3 - CS5.5

• Photoshop

• Illustrator

• InDesign

• InCopy

• Muse

• Lightroom

• Acrobat / Distiller / Bridge
